We particularly like the way we can close the shutters for privacy whilst leaving the top part open for fresh air. Well done Modern.

Yes. When choosing the colour and material you want for your new roof, Modern offers a wide range of roof colours and materials for you to choose from. For repainting a Colorbond roof, your choice includes colours which match many popular and new Colorbond™ colours. We also have paint colours which are only available through Modern. We are able to paint most types of roofs including most concrete tiles, unglazed terracotta tiles, some metal roofs which include iron roofs, and most roofs that have been previously painted.
If you’re unsure whether your roof needs to be repaired, replaced, or if you need a roof restoration, our roofing experts can help. Our expert roofers will reduce stress and costs in the long-term and preserve the lifespan of your roof.
Our ultra-thorough 33-point roof inspection is the starting point in telling you everything you need to know about your existing roof including all problems and what it will cost to fix them. After we inspect your roof, we can advise whether it’s best to restore or replace it. This is accompanied by an obligation-free quote with detailed costs on re-roofing, roof repairs or a roof replacement cost.
It depends on your roof as well as a number of other factors. The time needed for a roof replacement will depend on the complexity of your roof, accessibility, weather on the day and time of year (more daylight allows for more hours of roof work). Be wary of roofing contractors that overpromise a speedy job, cut corners and don’t clean up. Modern’s roofing experts will explain the process as well as outline timing and expectations for your roof replacement so you can plan accordingly.
Re-roofing Newcastle is a cost-effective option instead of a roof replacement if your existing roof is in good condition and does not have any missing concrete tiles or major water damage. Re-roofing is best done on the entire roof and can only be done once.
A big part of understanding the roof replacement process is choosing the right roofing company to assess your existing roof and give insight and guidance on affordable roof restoration for the long-term. For peace of mind in deciding on the best roofing company for your roofing job, choose quality materials and workmanship and check the warranty. It’s also crucial to hire a trained, established roofing contractor with specialised experience who adheres to strict quality control protocols, safety measures and standards. Also make sure the roofing installer/company has the necessary state accreditation. The Modern Group is part of the MBA, HIA and BSA which means our installers work to a code of ethics that protects you as the consumer.
