Spacious, bright, and full of character, Phil loves his home. But come afternoon, the west-facing windows and sliding doors became his nemesis. The summer sun in Melbourne poured in relentlessly, turning his living room into a furnace. Fans and air conditioning could only do so much, and Phil knew he needed a smarter solution.
Determined to find the best way to block heat from windows, Phil reached out to Modern Group to enquire about heat blocking roller shutters. And from the very first consultation, the entire process was seamless. “Everything went smoothly, from initial quote to install. Have to give kudos to the installer and electrician. They did a fantastic job ensuring all shutters was installed to high standards,” Phil shared.
After Modern’s team explained the manual, electric, and battery-operated shutter options, Phil decided the electric shutters were the perfect fit. The team measured his windows and sliding doors promptly, and just weeks later, Phil had his brand-new heat blocking roller shutters installed, customised in a colour that perfectly complemented his home.
The difference was noticeable from day one. “Already notice the difference with temps inside the house, the claims that their shutters block out heat are legit. Since having these shutters installed, the heat is not even noticeable. A++++,” Phil said. Finally, his living space felt cool and comfortable, no matter how hot it got outside.
Large windows in a home may look beautiful, but they were never primarily designed to be windows that block out heat.
